Unexplained! Spooky Concert and Story Swap

All Ages
Join us for an evening of spooky stories and music!

Local Dirt Productions, a new storytelling collective based in Greenfield, Massachusetts, will host a story concert, psychic fair and story swap at Hawks and Reed Performing Arts Center in downtown Greenfield on Thursday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. (doors at 7:00).

The evening will feature a stellar line up of some of the valley’s best raconteurs sharing their first-hand encounters with ghosts, spirits, and things that go bump in the night. Psychic readers (tea, palms and stars) will entertain you with insights about your past and future if you dare. Following the story concert, the evening will continue with the opportunity for audience members to haunt each other with stories of their own in a spooky story swap. All are welcome to share and listen in. Hawks and Reed will serve up an array of autumnal cocktails and sweets, and Tara Kurland will set the mood with her ethereal and haunting violin. Proceeds will benefit The Literacy Project.

Featured tellers include: Katherine Anderson, Richard Ballon, David Bulley, Amie Hyson, Andrea Cohen Kiener, Andrea Krawczyk, Ben Tousley, Orby Wiley, and Eli Zvi.

Local Dirt Productions was founded in 2018 by Andrea Cohen Kiener and Vanessa Cerillo, two Greenfield residents with a passion for storytelling, and an interest in adding to Greenfield’s unique cultural scene. This will be the collective’s second event.

“Three ghostbusters, with photographic evidence, a wildman, a hospice chaplain are just a few of the storyteller we’ll hear from says Cohen Keiner “I think this year is going to be extra spooky.”

“We had so much fun with this event last year, and are excited to bring it back again,” said Cerillo. “Who doesn’t love to listen to a good ghost story with a fun crowd?”
