Nate Martel Debut Solo Album Release

Sun · December 10, 2017

Doors: 6:30 pm / Show: 7:00 pm

On my 33rd birthday, I am proud and excited to invite all of you to my debut solo album release. I've finally been able to put out a proper solo release, and it is very gratifing, as well as long over due.

The night is going to start with myself and Matthew Thornton performing a duo set of my recent original material.

Then the amazing Eavesdrop will be performing a trio set!

Finally, the album will be played all the way through by the band that recorded it minus Elliott Jacob New.

Nate Outer Stylie Martel: Guitar and Vocals
Darby Wolf: Organ/Piano
Monte Arnstam: Drums
Marc Seedorf: Engineer and Bass for the release
Eavesdrop (Kara Rose Wolf, Laura Marie Picchi, Kerrie Bowden): backup vocals
Matthew Thornton: Cello
My longtime buddy and first bandmate, Mitch Belch: pedal steel, guitar, backups
Ben Falkoff: secret guitar solo
James Martel aka Jimbo aka my pops!: harmonica
Eric Lee: violin

Nate Martel
Nate Martel has been a staple in the valley music scene for over ten years, performing in many groups including Orange Television, Blue Star Burns Red, Groove Shoes, Dr. Reputation, the Metropolis Allstars, and of course Outer Stylie, to name a few.

On December 10, his first full length solo record comes out and it is a much different approach than previous records with aforementioned groups. This release has taken years to put out and it is extremely relevant to the societal forces that have been weighing on us as a whole.

He will be joined by an allstar cast of valley performers including: Darby Wolf on keys, Monte Arnstam on drums, Marc Seedorf on bass, Mitch Belch on guitar and vocals, Mathew Thornton on Cello, and Eavesdrop trio on backing vocals. Special appearances will also be made by: Eric Lee on violin, Ben Falkoff on guitar, and Jimbo Martel on harmonica.
Hailing from the Northeast, these Pioneer Valley natives provide a sound all their own; a perfect combination of soulful vocals, intricate harmonies, contagious melodies and moving rhythm. Originating as a trio, friends Kara Rose Wolf, Kerrie T. Bowden and Laura Marie Picchi maintain their vocal roots and continue to shape their sound through writing and collaborative instrumentation. Eavesdrop’s debut EP, The Afterglow, showcased the trio’s vocally charged acoustic, folk, soul roots. With their latest release, TIDES, the band has expanded into a six piece ensemble incorporating some of the valley's finest musicians; Ross Bellenoit on guitar, Marc Seedorf on bass guitar and Sturgis Cunningham on drums and percussion.
