Nona Hatay
Nona Hatay
On May 18, 1969, Nona Hatay photographed Jimi Hendrix at Madison Square Garden, New York City. Since then, Hatay has experimented with creating original artwork from the photography. The Hard Rock International has over 100 of her archival giclée prints in 23 worldwide locations. Hatay has expanded her Hendrix art to include images printed on canvas and leather, and is designing Hendrix-inspired men’s and women’s clothes and accessories. Hatay also wrote the books, Jimi Hendrix: The Spirit Lives On (1984), Charlie’s ABC (1992) and Jimi Hendrix: Reflections & Visions (1995). Hatay has had solo Hendrix exhibits in Paris, London and most major cities in the United States. This is the first time that she has put together a complete retrospective, which has been designed to be a traveling exhibit.
Vernon Reid Band of Gypsys Revisited Band
Vernon Reid Band of Gypsys Revisited Band
The Vernon Reid Band of Gypsys Revisited Band (VR-BOG-RB) have known each other since 1985, sharing the stage in bands such as the Screaming Headless Torsos, Yohimbe Brothers, Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber and The Black Rock Coalition Big Band. Thirty-three years later these four riff-loving Playas are fusing to groove once again.

In the spirit of revisiting, refreshing and further exploring the fun, funk & roll of the “Band of Gypsys Live at The Fillmore East” recording, Vernon Reid, André 'Dré Glo' Lassalle, James "Biscuit" Rouse, and Jared Michael Nickerson as VR-BOG-RB excitedly look forward to adding their “funk & roll ruckus” to the super cool festivities the "Hendrix by Hatay" event promises to provide.
